The course provides a clear overview of the basic knowledge needed for understanding of IPv6 operations with the aim of using the protocol, its services and network planning with IPv6. Novelties in comparison to the IPv4 are presented as well as IPv6 operations and supportive mechanisms, main services and migration scenarios/options from IPv4 to IPv6. The practical part of the course includes a demonstration of IPv6 implementation operations based on various operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, Cisco IOS).
